Can furniture be left outside/overnight?

Written by Barony Suero

It might seem fine to leave furniture outside after an event or while it's not in use, but doing so can cause serious damage. When furniture is left outside, it’s exposed to things like:

  • Rain –  can cause wood to swell, metal to rust, or fabric to stain and grow mold.
  • Sun – can fade colors, crack surfaces, and weaken materials.
  • Wind – can blow furniture over, breaking or damaging it.
  • Cold and Frost – can make materials crack or become brittle.

These types of weather damage can ruin furniture quickly.

Our Damage Waiver  does not cover damage caused by weather.

If furniture is returned damaged from being left outside, you will see a product replacement cost on the invoice. Which will help cover the cost of fixing or replacing the damaged items.

To avoid extra charges:

  • Keep furniture indoors when not in use.
  • Use it only in covered outdoor areas (like under a tent, canopy or pavilion ).
